What is SABER?
SABER (Services and Business Events Registration) is an electronic system that enables importers, manufacturers, and certification bodies to process product certification requests online. It replaced the previous paper-based system, making the certification process faster and more transparent.
Why is SABER Important?
All regulated products entering Saudi Arabia must be registered on SABER. Without proper SABER registration, your products will be held at customs, potentially leading to costly delays and storage fees.
Types of Certificates
SABER issues two main types of certificates:
- Product Certificate of Conformity (PCoC): Valid for one year, this certificate confirms your product type meets Saudi technical regulations.
- Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC): Required for each individual shipment, this certificate confirms the specific shipment matches the approved product type.
